We truly hit a hole-in-one with The Clovernook Open this year! Our Projetech team was a proud Ace sponsor of the 54-hole professional tournament that held its 5th edition in May at the Clovernook Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio. The size and competitiveness of the competition make it the largest non-PGA Tour-sanctioned tournament in the Midwest, and the connection and community it brings with it only add to its tremendous value.
Since 2021, The Clovernook Open has collaborated with the First Tee of Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky to introduce kids to golf and teach valuable life skills. Over 90 participants attended from 16 states and were advised to “Play well, play fair, play fast, and have a good day” – which is precisely the type of positivity and fun the tournament proved to yield.
This year, charitable contributions topped $17,000, and tournament founder David Wetterich donated $10,000 to First Tee's CEO, Patty Ragio. Shortly after Daniel Wetterich won the tournament, his mother wrote a check for $15,000 for first prize. David Wetterich then presented a $10,000 charity donation to First Tee, with our Projetech Founder and event sponsor Steve Richmond and Julie Inman awarding Daniel his trophy.
"Everyone that I have seen participate seems to enjoy themselves. They obviously enjoy the competition. It's rigorous, it's fun, and it's a beautiful golf course. It was in such great shape again," shared Steve Richmond, reflecting on the Clovernook Open.
The Clovernook Open is about so much more than just golf. It is about shaping a community through inspiration, relationships, and a drive for success both on and off the course. Projetech is honored to support this wonderful competition and help further its mission of blending sports and charitable initiatives. Our team looks forward to many more years of nurturing talent, sportsmanship, and the spirit of giving back.
