Hidden Maximo Functionality: Modified Lookup

Maximo is riddled with functionality that is available to all with the installation of the basic product, yet only seasoned subject matter experts have uncovered. Some are even hidden in wide open places. This series will introduce the Maximo user to some of the new and long-time favorite prizes of Maximo pros. From templates for simplifying record creation and maintenance, or classifications for streamlining searches, to creating better key performance indicators for targeted business processes, Maximo provides a basket full of efficiency tools. You just need to know where to look.

When you need to be able to query things sometimes you need to link back to the original application. However, there are certain things you can do directly from the select value if they were there and available for you to query. You can modify the xml and have additional fields added for use in querying.
