May/June, 2009
Our consultants do a lot of Maximo training, so we thought it would be interesting to get feedback about which questions/issues come up most often when they're working with new users on recent versions. The May/June free tool is Shirley Harlan's response to that question. We think you'll find this information very useful and encourage you to add it to your internal Maximo training documentation.
The tool has two parts. The first is a short Power Point file (with audio) explaining the "4 Rules of Maximo" that Shirley teaches at the beginning of classes to help new users (or those upgrading from older versions) navigate through Maximo. The second part is a one-page .pdf document that mirrors the presentation so that you can print it out and post it for reference.

December, 2009
Going back and forth between the Start Center and the application can be cumbersome when you have a large number of assignments. We developed Public Queries for each of the applications that bring up all items for which the user has assignments in that application. Then the user can just use the navigation arrows to work through all items assigned to them instead of going back and forth.
